Here at the midway point of summer I have been looking at the progress I have made over last summer and this spring and thought I would love to hear how all of you have made progress in your riding Here are some of the things that have changed for me: I feel comfortable at higher RPMs learning to read the road better to prepare for the blind corner exit and up coming corners (please note I am just getting better at this...no expert here) cornering smoother , keeping the bike where I want on the road more often than not in general just feeling more comfortable on my bike ....it disappears under me, that oneness

I've been trying to keep weight off my hands when my form gets lazy.
Also trying to use the rear of the bike to steer more- especially in slippery conditions.

I am more confident when I ride, knowing that what I tell the bike what to do is correct and that the bike can handle way more than what I can tell it. Starting to get more comfortable body steering.
Will report back after going out to 133 & 171 hopefully in near future.

the state pen warder here boys, and the state pen warder wants to tell you that in Thahailansd SORRY that there is ment to be Thailand , anyway where in gods name was the state pen warder at?....yeah..the state pen warder wants to tell ya all about the bikers in Thailand theirs hundreds from all over the place, Germany, Finland, England, U.S. all over and they have their own chapters like in Pattaya, theirs all the gangs the Mad Dogs who own and run Sallys Bar in Jomtien Soi5 Pattaya, all the biker gangs hit Pattaya, and that brings the state pen warder to the state pen warders place in Thailand Hua Hin, now Hua Hin is where the King of Thailand live most of the year but the King and Kings men are not that keen on 2 things 1st off the bikers that there ride around the small town and the other the yellow bellied Russian mafia, but the bikers dont like the Russians as well both gangs are after the drug market and pray on the party goers that hit City beach hotel and the Hilton disco, the state pen warder is a thinking that the King wants the bikers and Russians to kill each others?.

And now for something completely different, and actual post.
I was out yesterday hitting a few letters and especially a couple of numbers. The first letter road I hit wasn't that great, but it got me to the first number, and all I can say is holy crap that was alot of turns! Then I rode through a mountain that still had the morning fog. My second letter was my second favorite of the day, aside for having grass covering the white line, it was much fun. Finally my last/second number was better than I could image. I held a pace that was far beyond what I have done. The best part was I was relaxed the whole time. I had two uh-oh moments, but I got through them.
Hopefully I can carry that skill onto other roads. Can't wait to ride out there again.

Taken from the HD forum "My point is that anyone can go fast on bike that forgives your inability to ride and lets you keep going"
I couldn't disagree more. Yeah, I can take an R1, CBR1K, or even my bike and do 140 plus, but that bike aint going to just ride itself.

I did a pretty fun ride from Janesville up to Reedsburg. 78 out of sauk was incredible! I damn near got a knee down on 136 out of rock springs on a very nice 180 and kept a very nice pace, and was able to double up some corners. this is getting fun.
